Our next on line open mic night  features the incredibly talented Mat Nicholson as guest poet on Monday the 14th September from 8pm-9pm. Matt Nicholson is a wry and passionate writer/performer from the cultural enigma that is East Yorkshire. Well-travelled and widely published with his poetry, he unleashed his fifth full collection, Side-eye (Yaffle Press), in the summer of 2025. From the devil driving a yellow Lexus, to lighthouses at the edge of the world, Matt’s poems and delivery can “break your heart and mend it again” (Helen Mort – 2022).
