What's on, July 2026
July’s highlights include:
Free Poetry Writing Workshop with Helen Kay in Whitchurch Library, St Mary’s Arcade (Friday 10th July 10am-12pm, entry is free).
The annual performance poetry slam, where 15 poets go head-to-head to win the Whitchurch poetry slam crown and a £50 prize. Monday 20th July 7pm Percy’s Café Bar, Watergate, Whitchurch, SY13 1DW. Please contact Helen at poetrywhitchurch@hotmail.com to pre-book a slot if you wish to enter the slam.
A discussion group on poetry by Richard Wilbur on Tuesday 21st July from 7pm-8.30pm at The Vinyl Countdown, 15 Green End, Whitchurch, SY13 1AD. £3 suggested donation.
