The winner of the 2026 Poetry Slam
The Poetry Slam at Percy's Cafe Bar was a fantstic showcase of local talent. The 15 poets were excellent so a big thank you to all who took part and to those of you who came along to support this wonderful event. However, there could only be one winner and that went to Kerry Jones, which was well deserved. Thanks to Chris Driver for these photos of the event.
The famous Poetry Whitchurch annual slam
Every year we host our an annual slam, where 15 performance poets go head to head to win the much vaunted Whitchurch Poetry Slam crown.

The next Slam will be held at Percy's Cafe Bar on Monday 20 July 2026 starting from 7pm. The event is free to attend and also free to competitors. There is a cash prize of £50 to the winner.
